Brewer Partnership Update

There are lots of exciting things happening at Brewer Elementary School this Spring! Teachers and staff are working hard to bridge the learning gap brought on by Covid disruptions. We are very excited, ourselves, to be able to help them get back on track. Georgia Milestone Assessment Testing (GMAT) takes place the first week in May. St. Thomas has agreed to provide daily snacks throughout the week to some 250 students to help them perform at their best. We will be collecting individually wrapped snacks throughout the month of April. Baskets for donations will be available at the front of the church and in the church office through April 24.

Donated snacks will need to be individually wrapped. No snacks containing nuts or peanut butter, please, due to allergy concerns. Some suggestions are Cheez-Its, gummy fruit snacks, or cereal bars.

In addition, we’ll be going all out to show the teachers and staff some love during Teacher Appreciation Week (also the first week in May).We’ll be providing Boxed lunches on Wednesday, May 4, and hand delivering treat bags to teachers on Friday, May 6.
