See the Alma Thomas Exhibit
Everything is Beautiful, a major exhibition of Columbus native Alma Thomas's work, is currently on display at the Columbus Museum. Alma Thomas was an art educator and working artist who developed a signature style of abstract expressionist painting. She was the first African-American woman to have a solo show at The Whitney Museum of American Art and the first African-American woman whose art was added to the permanent collection at The White House. And, she was an Episcopalian! We'll hear more about Thomas in the weeks ahead. Dr. Jonathan Walz, co-curator of the exhibit, is offering several one-hour tours of the exhibit, including special tours for members of St. Thomas and friends from Greater Beallwood Baptist.
