Sunday Morning Adult Formation
Sunday, February 2, 2025, 12:00 PM
TheoEd Talks, similar to TEDtalks, invite faith leaders to share the talk of their lives. New talks were recorded at a recent TheoEd conference.
January 12 - Sister Theresa Sullivan: Am I a Savior or a Servant? Sister Theresa shares how seeing service as a privilege, rather than a burden, can transform the way we approach helping others.
January 19 - Instead of a TheoEd talk, we will read and discuss a sermon from Martin Luther King, Jr. -
January 26 - Annual Meeting
February 2 - Scott Mitchell: Fringe Dwellings - Mr. Mitchell reflects on the journey of being accepted as a gay individual in a world that often marginalizes LGBTQ+ voices. He shares experiences of finding belonging in unusual places and shows us all how we can better love those who are "othered" in society.
February 9 - Rev. Reginald Wayne Sharpe, Jr. - Rev. Sharpe explores the challenge of overcoming the pressure to please others and the inner conflict that arises when the desire to gain approval occasionally wins.
February 16 - Cole Arthur Riley: The Silence of God - Ms. Riley, a writer and liturgist, reflects on times when God seems to be silent, how to embrace skepticism, and how silence can be an expression of love and compassion.
February 23 - Bishop Wright will lead a forum and discussion at 9:30 in the parish hall.
