Lenten Devotions

We offer several resources for devotional use in this season.
God is STILL With Us - This weekly resource explores our theme and is good for individuals and families with children. We will have printed copies available on Ash Wednesday, or you can purchase a digital version for personal use from Illustrated Ministry online - illustratedministry.com.
God is STILL With Us St. Thomas Devotions - We invite parishioners to write reflections on our theme for this season. How do you know that God is still with you, and what difference does that knowledge make? Reflections are 300 words or less and will be shared in our email newsletters in this season. Contact [email protected] to offer to write.
Living Well Through Lent 2025: Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit In Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind - This is a resource of daily reflections for the season written by noted writers across the Episcopal Church. Fifty printed copies will be available on Ash Wednesday, or you may download a digital copy for free at livingcompass.org.
Lent Madness - A little silly, but fun for all ages, Lent Madness is an online popularity contest for the Holy People of our Church Calendar. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, 32 saints meet each other one on-one in a March Madness style bracket elimination contest. Follow the fun and vote each day for your favorite saint. The rounds advance from the initial Round of 32 to the Saintly Sixteen, the Elite Eight, and the Faithful Four. The final winner receives the Golden Halo. Past winners are Julian of Norwich (2024), Absalom Jones (2021), Dietrich Bonhoeffer (2016), and Charles Wesley (2014). Join the fun. Lentmadness.org.
Bishop Wright teaching series - We also commend for your reflection in this season Bishop Wright’s video Teaching Series: Growing Up in Christ! Bishop Wright shared, "I get to this theme in response to the opportunity and necessity of us all becoming more mature Christians. Our marriages, families, vocations, state, nation and world all will be better when we decide, with new resolve, to Grow up in Christ! Above all, Growing up in Christ is an active friendship with Jesus that changes us and points us toward the world that he loves." Videos will be available through Diocese of Atlanta social media.
